A thought on memoirs...

  1. This quote was applied to a to a fictional Character who retold her story in Diane Sutterfield's novel. However, it has great merrit in reference to memoir writing. Someone who has been mentioned in my own writing, although tastefully and anonymously, once insisted to me that I remover her from my work. But I cannot remove her appearance in the book without removing a large section of my own story. This is the way it must be in such an effort. The above quote framed that truth beautifully.
